Founded in 2017, Hanning Recruitment has rapidly established itself as a leading real estate recruitment firm, trusted by companies and candidates alike for our industry expertise, outstanding market knowledge and passion for building meaningful, long-term relationships.

We recently joined forces with Forrester Partners LLP whose impressive track record strengthens our market position. This new partnership gives us over 40 years’ combined recruitment and real estate experience, which alongside an enviable (and growing) network of clients, means that together we can now meet both contingency recruitment and executive search mandates.

Toby Speke MRICS

Managing Director

Toby is a qualified surveyor having gained MRICS status at Knight Frank, where he worked for a number of years before moving to VanHan to head up their Development team.
He subsequently transitioned into property recruitment, where he ran a team at one of the largest property recruitment firms, achieving exceptional results. Here, he was able to hone his skills identifying genuine talent and matching candidates to specific client requirements to ensure optimum results all-round.
Toby has built up a strong network not only from working directly in property but since then working with some of the most prominent companies in real estate.

Nick Howard


Nick started his career qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 2003 whilst at CBRE. He then moved into Real Estate Recruitment and spent 13 years at Cobalt Recruitment, most recently as a Director, hiring mid to senior level talent across the property arena.
His focus has been hiring into Property Companies, Fund / Investment Managers, Real Estate Private Equity, Sovereign Wealth, Family Offices and Private Practice.

Bruce Bennett


Bruce began his executive search career for Alexander Mann in 1997, joining Forrester Partners (Hanning recruitments affiliated business) in early 2000. From 2003 to 2009 Bruce set up and ran Forrester Partners’ Continental European practice based from Milan.
Since 2009 Bruce has focused on developing Forrester Partners’ real estate, investment management and financial services practices in London.
Bruce has worked on assignments in the UK, Europe, US and the Far East.

Claudia Carreras


Claudia has worked for two are the largest property advisory businesses in Savills and Knight Frank before joining Hanning Recruitment.
Claudia works directly with the Directors of the business in the identifying of top talent and mapping out specific areas of the market.
Claudia also leads her own assignments and has recently placed a number of Investment Analysts and Asset Managers for a variety of big and small clients.

Lucy Beaty

Recruitment Consultant

Lucy started her career at boutique agencies in Central London and quickly became a top performer with the business she worked at.

Lucy has spent the last 5 years at Savills in their Residential Department with a focus on the Central London market.

Her property experience is invaluable to the team, and it is this knowledge that clients gravitate to as she has a good understanding of the market and the talent required to execute mandates.

Lucy works with Property Companies, Fund / Investment Managers, Real Estate Private Equity, Family Offices and Private Practice.

Ellie Summers

Recruitment Consultant

Ellie has a dynamic background in recruitment and prior to that in marketing. This has given her all-encompassing skills that work hand in hand when speak with candidates and working mandates for clients.

At Hanning Recruitment, she uses these skills to map the market and find the most suitable talent for each individual client. Creating a personalised experience for each client, depending on their needs.

Ellie has been busy in the Investment and Asset Management space for both large blue-chip companies to smaller AUM businesses.
