The Role

The Business Development Associate Director will bring strong technical skills and an established network of real estate business relationships.

Responsibilities

Credit Analyst – Real Estate Debt

The Company:

Since 2011 our client has facilitated loans exceeding £3 billion, funding the construction of over 10,000 new homes. They channel institutional capital into private credit funds, each tailored to support specific lending strategies. Their investor base includes pension funds, insurance companies, and asset managers. With substantial capital commitments, they can extend more than £750 million in new loans annually.

Job Objective:

The successful individual will support the team in assessing and evaluating the creditworthiness of borrowers seeking real estate financing.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assess the feasibility and profitability of potential transactions by preparing a comprehensive Excel development model.
• Draft credit papers, assembling and evaluating supporting documentation through thorough internet research.
• Present credit papers before the Credit Committee.
• Upon obtaining credit approval, coordinate the engagement of legal professionals, valuers, and quantity surveyors.
• Review legal documents and recommend necessary amendments.
• Identify and prioritize risks, ensuring timely and pragmatic problem resolution.
• Ensure all requisite documents are prepared for review and loans are ready for timely drawdown.

The successful candidate will be based in London. You will be a Residential Asset Manager focusing purely on BTR and single-family housing. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Preparation of financial models and underwriting of real estate development, leasing, joint ventures, and capital structures

Job Objective:

You would be a Portfolio Analyst with a little time towards investment and looking at new deals. You will ensure that the Asset Managers and Development Managers are on track, and you will have ownership of the respective models and ensure they are correct. You will also get exposure to new acquisitions, but we do stress that in the main this is a Portfolio Analyst role. This role has come about through growth.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Develop, own and manage the models of the different vehicles, collaborating across functions to gather the relevant data
· Provide senior management and investors with timely and relevant financial analysis on fund and asset performance
· Prepare quarterly reporting for senior management and for investors
· Prepare business plans as well as investment proposals to support decision making

Asset Manager – Real Estate (12 month Maternity Cover)

The Company:

Job Objective:

The successful candidate will be joining on a 12-month contract for a maternity cover, there might be the option to continue after the 12 months. You will be focusing on mixed used, student accommodation, co working and office assets. They are looking for someone with an analytical mind and with asset management experience. You will be managing existing properties and undertaking value add asset management initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• The strategic management of a portfolio of UK assets.
• Liaising with property managers, agents, solicitors and other external consultants regarding the asset management plan.

Design / Development Manager

The Company:

Our client is a residential real estate investor and developer focusing on student accommodation and build to rent schemes. They currently have £1100mil AUM across the UK and Europe. They also have a focus on sustainability.

Job Objective:

They are looking for a Design Manager to be a part of the whole planning process of development from the beginning up to RIBA stage 4 and to take a lead role and have ownership between stages 3 and 4.

This person will have an in-depth understanding of the development process between planning and construction to help the team avoid revisiting the design aspects of the development that might need adjusting after construction has started.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• As the design manager you will work within the development team, supporting from the beginning of the process to stage 4 and leading the stage 3 and 4 process.
• Leading a team.
• Bridging the gap between planning and construction.

Job Objective:

They are looking for a junior investment professional at the Analyst level (with 1 to 2 years of work experience) to join their real estate debt investment team with the versatility to get involved with other aspects of the business. This role would suit a highly analytical individual with excellent academic qualifications and a genuine interest in, and experience with, real estate investments. The role will include research, financial analysis and transactions underwriting predominantly for real estate (mezz and senior) debt opportunities

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Designing, amending and updating models (ranging in complexity) for RE Debt
• transactions; running scenarios on the models and producing outputs for external and internal purposes

Our client is a major Central London landed estate. They are mainly focused on offices but they also cover healthcare, residential, retail and education with an excess of 2,500 active leases.

Job Objective:

They are looking for a lease advisory candidate who will be driving the rent roll of the entire estate. The successful candidate will have office and ideally medical experience and be responsible for lease renewals, rent reviews and re-gears. You would be working very closely with the asset management team and they are looking for someone who is organised, analytical and detailed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the lease renewal process is conducted timely and diligently, delivering the best financial return.
• Conscientiously manage the rent review process to drive the Estate’s rent roll.

Investment Analyst – Real Estate

Our client focuses on the industrial and logistics sector and are looking for an investment analyst to join their growing team.  

Job Objective:

They have completed some of the highest profile transactions within the industrial sector and they are looking for someone who can work closely on a range of investment and development disposals, acquisitions and funding across the UK.  You will work directly with a number of the key individuals in the business supporting them on transactions. Duties & Responsibilities:

• This role will require competence in detailed cash flow analysis with high proficiency in Excel and good written presentation skills.
• There will be a requirement to manage the due diligence processes for new acquisitions and disposals.
• Where required (for larger or more complicated transactions) the analyst will be responsible for pulling together a deal information memorandum which outlines the salient points of a transaction, as well as the key risks and mitigants from a lender’s perspective

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Research, analyse, underwrite and evaluate a variety of real assets credit opportunities.
• Compile industry, market and asset level data and financial information.
• Build complex dynamic financial models to analyse investment opportunities (reviewing debt structures, relevant debt underwriting parameters and specific assets using financial models and a variety of quantitative analytical tools to test assumptions and sensitivities)

Job Objective:

Our client is looking for someone to support the management of the loan portfolio of commercial and residential real estate loans. The candidate is responsible for the monitoring, servicing and accounting of the loan portfolio. The position is expected to periodically provide inputs for budgets, cost recovery, income, business and operating issues, along with recommendations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manages assigned commercial real estate loans in the UK and monitors their performance.
• Monitors the performance of properties securing the loans and their ability to support loan payments.
• Prepares CMSA and other reports in respect of the loans.

• Responsibility for the asset management of the existing portfolio, including to ensure an up-to-date in-depth knowledge of the portfolio and its tenants.
